Doggie Rules
We don’t like having lots of rules & regulations because we realise that dogs are very much part of people’s families, however Ash Barn is very much part of our family so please look after it for us, also some guests will be visiting without dogs.
We thought it only fair that as a visitor, our house rules for dogs should be plainly stated, therefore please can we ask you adhere to the following:
- Please clean up after your dog/s, please bag and bin all deposits as we often have families (as we do) with children staying at Ash Barn.
- Please do not leave your dog/s UNATTENDED or ALONE in the property at any time, we all have well behaved dogs but in a strange environment they may become stressed and upset if left alone and could potentially cause damage, so please take them with you when you go out.
- Absolutely no dogs are allowed on the sofas, beds or any furniture – our cleaner will check for hairs & dirt upon your departure.
- No dogs are allowed upstairs – there are stair gates at both the top and bottom of the stairs to prevent this.
- As the properties garden is accessed from upstairs, please do not allow your dogs to go into the garden from here, please access the garden from the door leading to the well area from the entrance vestibule or from the back gate.
- Dogs should have their own beds.
- Dogs MUST be wiped off clean when returning from a walk if they are muddy, wet or sandy, please do not allow dirty dogs to enter the property, again this is to keep the property clean. Please leave your dogs in the vestibule area until they are completely dry until they enter the main living area.
- Please use the mud daddy for dirty doggies and wipe them off. As dog owners ourselves we know how hard it is to keep them clean so have provided what works for us.
- There is a small grassy area opposite the barn for toilets just before bed or early mornings (please clear up any mess, doggie mess bags are provided in the small baskets on the shelf in the vestibule area).
- Any mess in the garden must be cleared up please and as the area is astro turf, we ask that for wee’s and any residue poo you wash the area down with clean water.
