Swanpool BEach

Its larger neighbour Gyllyngvase is hugely popular with families, but we really recommend Swanpool Beach for a day out with the family. As well as the beach, there’s crazy golf, bouncy castle, kayak hire, nature reserve and outdoor café at this friendly spot.

National Maritime Museum

Exhibitions cover the port’s history, wildlife, climate and delve deep into Falmouth’s maritime past, present and future. With 12 galleries set over three floors, there’s lots here to keep children interested and intrigued.

Founded in 1995, this sanctuary provides a safe home for more than 100 donkeys and horses, all of whom have been rescued from abuse, neglect and abandonment. They now love to see friendly faced visitors in their new home!

PEndennis castle

Take a step back in history at Pendennis Castle, built by Henry VIII and playing a role in Britain’s fight during both world wars. The castle stands on Pendennis Point, a headland well worth strolling around to see seabirds, seals and even dolphins on occasion.
